ALL SILICONE FOLEY BALLOON CATHETERS


 

All Silicone Foley Balloon Catheters are used for routine drainage of the bladder or routine post-operative drainage and irrigation of the bladder.
This catheter should be used only for urology.
 

 

Advantage of Silicone Material

 Non-reactive with tissue
 Non-adherence to tissue permits easy removal
 Silicone material, compared to PVC, makes it more difficult for protein to adhere to          the tube and tends to reduce bacterial growth on the tube.

 

Features of Products

X-Ray opaque line (Standard Type: Green, UniBal Type: Black)
Black X-Ray opaque tip. 
Transparent tubing helps end user to make easy detection of the problem of urine         drainage. 

 

UniBal Type

Balloon is integrated so that the diameter of shaft is         totally same even in the position where the balloon is         located. It makes the introduction of catheter even         smoother and easier than standard type.
Tungsten powder is used to make black XRO line         clear on the X-Ray.
Suprapubic and Nephrostomy catheters are also         available with UniBal Type Balloon.

 
 

Directions for Use

 

Insertion

- Lubricate the catheter using water soluble jelly.
- Insert catheter until catheter balloon is properly positioned into bladder.
- Fill sterile water into balloon with syringe according to volume indication on the    catheter funnel.

- Do not over inflate.

- Check the urine flow from the drainage funnel to ensure the function of catheter.
- Connect the urine drainage funnel to the connector of urine bag

Removal

- Deflate the balloon completely by releasing syringe plunger.
   Use only gentle aspiration.
- Remove the catheter from patient.
