1985 Lee brothers founded Yushin Medical Co., Ltd. in Shiheung City with the aim of developing, manufacturing and marketing silicone rubber medical devices. Silicone Foley balloon catheter was developed and manufactured for the first time in Korea. 1986 The company started to export the products to U.S.A and Middle East. 1988 Export to Germany and Italy in European market was started. New additions to the product range: Levin tube and Penrose drain tube made of silicone rubber. 1989 Export to Japan started. New additions to the product range: Tracheostomy Tube. 1991 The second factory was completed in Bucheon City for the expansion of manufacturing capacity. 1996 The company was certified according to ISO 9002. New additions to the product range: Wound drainage system and Wire-reinforced Endotracheal tube. 1997 The company was appointed as a promising small and medium-sized enterprise by Kyunggi Province. New additions to the product range: Extra Ventricular drainage system. 1998 The company was certified according to ISO 9001 and EN 46001, as well as Medical Device Directives (MDD) 93/24/EEC. At the same time, the company got licensed for CE mark for the products. 2000 The company moved to a new building, which was built and located at current company premises in Bucheon City. This integrated the two old premises. 2001 After years of research and trials, the company achieved a major breakthrough: The development of Unibal, integrated silicone balloon catheter, which reduces pain and trauma during insertion to human body. 2003 The company was certified according to ISO13485 2005 Awarded " Export monument prize " for US$ 3 Million revenue generated form export 2007 The company acquired GMP certificate from Korean FDA 2008 A new building was built within 5 minutes walking distance from existing company premises, to cope with the need of additional production capacity.
